We are a not-for-profit association, created in 2024, that serves as a social hub for men in the community. The shed provides a gathering place for men to meet, chat and develop friendships as well as providing opportunities for men to give back to the community.

It is based on a very successful model developed in Australia where a local “shed” provides men with a meeting place and a way for men to socialize, collaborate and work on meaningful projects. There are now over 3300 sheds spread across 15 countries. BC alone has 65 sheds.

The Penticton Men's Shed Association is based on a simple concept:

Improving our members' physical and mental health through activities men will actually participate in.

It's where you can learn or teach new skills and find new opportunities and interests while making new friends. We provide a safe and friendly environment where members can work on meaningful projects. Men work at their own pace, in their own time, in the company of other men. We offer men an alternate way to reach out to avoid 'isolation' while giving back to society.
